A new adventure/expedition for Petrus, ex-3Y0E is about to begin!

Petrus has only been home for a few weeks since departing Bouvet Island. Not content with airing DXCC most wanted #5, Petrus has another treat in store this time!

ZS8T will be on Marion Island for over one year as expedition leader for the South African National Antarctic Program. Marion is #6 in the most wanted survey (2007)

Unlike Bouvet Island where Petrus used loaned equipment (IC-735 and 4BTV vertical) this time the team behind ZS8T have pulled out all the stops to load Petrus with radio goodies.

On Marion Island will be a Spiderbeam antenna, SteppIR vertical for LF, IC-7000 radio, an amplifier, RTTY capabilites and a whole lot more.
